During Friday's HIV Center tour, the third stop was my favorite because I got to PLAY!
Kamogelo Orphans and Vulnerable Children Project operates as a daycare/preschool for at-risk children and is run by sisters of the Catholic Church. As soon as we walked into the room with the 2 year olds, I ran for their mats and sat down. They spoke no English and just stared. I managed a smile out of one little boy by giving him a little tickle. On the way out, we were bombarded by the 4 and 5 yr olds who got quite a kick out of seeing their pictures on the digital camera screen. We all played outside for around 20 minutes while the older people in the group from the University of Botswana (where the conference was held all week) continued on with the tour of the center. Once little girl in particular was quite taken to me and kept trying to take me off where she had me all to herself.
